Update of Koh Chang elephant rescue

After two and a half months at Elephant Nature Park , the two girls, Maliwan and Mae Koi, who came from a Trekking camp in Koh Chang , have adjusted well to their new home. It seems that they will join with the family of Yindee. This is quite quick to see them accept the friendship of family. As we have sit and observe, Mae Koy tries to intimidate Yindee, and respectfully Yindee defers to her senior character. After every rescue, we always hope that they will join with a family group. Elephants are highly social by nature, but, for captive animals, humans have broken and intruded their peaceful lives. To bring them back, we believe that only friendship with their own kind and particularly the life of the herd, can heal them. We hope this happy story of Mae Koy and Maliwan brings a smile to your face.
