SEF and ENP began to train our VC’s and Guides to work for the online service
COVID19 has affected many businesses , especially all services related to travel. Almost everything came to full stop during this pandemic. One of the jobs that came to an abrupt ending was the tour guide .
At ENP, almost one hundred guides and volunteer coordinators became jobless since March. Many of them have families , and the daily costs of living. Even till now there is uncertainty about the resilience of the industry in Thailand this year. SEF and ENP has tried to support our staff as much as we can, but during the lock down, we have no income either. There are few opportunities for many to make an income. Some of our tour guides and staff came to help us work in the fields, planting and cutting food for elephants. This certainly didn’t supply a living wage at the time.
Now the lockdown is coming to an end , with precautions. We will try to find a way to help our staff more .
SEF and ENP began to train our VC’s and Guides to work for the online service. They will share in the work of bringing the Herd to your Home via EleFlix and Zoom. If you wish to help our staff for employment, please share EleFlix and subscribe. We will also soon provide a tour online with Zoom. If you want, you can gather your friends to make a group and select a program or project , herd and Elephant, to see and visit. As the time zone varies , we can discuss a suitable time for your viewing. Starting at only $ 5, you can connect with our tour guides and VC’s , our herd and all of our ethical projects . For school groups and other larger gatherings, we also have a program available . For Live filming, the timing can be coordinated with discussion.
