Mae Malee

Mae Malee (Mother Jasmine) was born around 1945. Until 1989, she worked in logging and after that some illegal logging and trekking. Mae Malee arrived to ENP in early June 2015. She is adopted gran-nanny to Manao, a young girl who was rescued with her. Mae Malee is very protective of Manao, causing her to be a bit unpredictable with people. She gets along well with other elephants and is part of a large female social group. She is a bit thin, but in over all good condition for her age with no broken bones. She is not heavily scarred and luckily, still has sight in both eyes.
