Mae Bua Tong

Born around 1970, Mae Bua Tong means ‘Golden Lotus’. She was rescued in July 2005, along with her then 6 month old daughter Tong Jaan. They were both saved from lives of trekking. Since her arrival at ENP, a large family group has grown around this mother and daughter. Mae Bua Tong gave birth to another daughter, Faa Mai in 2009. She is a proud mother who enjoys the company of her offspring and the other herd members.
