Dani
Dani was born around 1965. She arrived at ENP after being rescued in November 2010 from Tak Province. She has worked in both legal and illegal logging industries in Thailand and Burma. Had we not been able to rescue Dani, she was destined to become a street-begging elephant. After settling in at Elephant Nature Park, she first connected with Mae Kham Puan who was rescued around the same time as Dani. Later Dani joined up with Mae Bua Loy and Mae Boon Ma. Lucky, joined them soon after her rescue. Not long after this, Dani decided to open up more socially and developed a good friendship with Mae Perm and Jokia, whom she later shared a shelter with. Dani is now very socially adaptable and can mingle with many different elephants and often visits her old girlfriends.
At this time Dani is at her happiest of all as she is now full time surrogate mother/auntie to youngsters Khun Dej and Saree.
