Update: Zuki’s Progress

Now that a few months have passed since Zuki has been reunited with his family, and he has come a long way!  Upon arrival to the reunion in the forest with his family, he was not in good health.  He was having trouble eating properly and walking straight, as he had just been through the crush.  With consistent veterinary check-ups, and loving caring surroundings he began to make small amounts of progress.

Recently had has been eating much more and able to digest his food a little better.  He has gained some weight and spends much more time with the herd.  He has gained more confidence and has more energy to play with the other young elephants in the herd.  To see this improvement gives us more hope for the future that he will be able to make a complete recovery.  Stay tuned for more updates on his progress.
