Lamyai

Lamyai, meaning longan (a type of fruit) arrived at Elephant Haven in 2003 from Chomponburi in Surin Province in Northeast Thailand. She has spent her life working in the trekking industry. At 40 years old, Lamyai is a very sociable elephant who is happy to share her food with the others. She enjoys swimming in the river and rolling around in the mud baths.
