Kwan Kaew

Nicknamed Chopper, Kwan Kaew is a 30 year old female elephant who arrived at Elephant Haven in 2009 from Surin Province in Northeast Thailand. Chopper worked in the trekking industry for most of her life but would also be sought out to appear in films. She loves her food and will carry it off to eat alone so that she doesn’t need to share with others, however, once she’s finished she goes out to check if any of the other elephants would like to share their food with her.
