Flight Volunteer

Dogs at the park get adopted by people all around the world. One solution is for the adopting family to physically travel with the dog(s) to their new home. But sometimes the new family have already traveled ahead whilst the dog waits for vaccinations & procedures to be completed. We therefore often need Flight Partners to travel with the dogs from Thailand to their new homes. Being a flight volunteer doesn’t involve any additional costs for you and we will organize everything for you and meet you at the airport to help you check the dog in. At your destination you collect the dog, go through customs and the owners will be waiting there for you. You will be rewarded by a lovely reunion between dog and owner. Below is a list with current destinations that we need flight volunteers to. If you are flying from either Chiang Mai or Bangkok please email us to dogproject@saveelephant.org. If possible attach your flight itinerary, so we can check if your airline and stopover destination(s) allow for dogs to travel with you. If you haven’t booked a flight yet and you want to book a flight where you will be able to be a flight volunteer please just email us and we can give you an advice on which airlines and stopover destinations to choose. If you want to be a flight volunteer but your destination is not on the list, please also forward your itinerary to dogproject@saveelephant.org – things can change quickly or one of our partner organizations might need a flight volunteer there.
