Continues to relish his free roaming life, as the dog has a very independent nature and the staff is never able to predict his whereabouts. From the second story of the platform, volunteers can occasionally see him gallivanting across the fields of grass or sitting underneath a distant tree to cool down. Desmond often loves to lie across the dog volunteer table, although in the last weeks his visits have become few and far between. Recently, our grey and brown friend had to be admitted to the clinic in order to prevent the effects his high fever blood parasite from escalating. Desmond is a resilient dog, and the veterinary staff can already see a remarkable improvement in his health.
