See Kao was dumped at ENP in the summer of 2014 after her hind legs stopped working and she was dragging herself around.   The person who dropped her off said she had walked before.   It’s likely that she was hit or dropped based on the symptoms.   I met her in September when I went to go say “hi” to Steel and took See Kao out for a walk using a towel to support her hind end.   You can imagine my surprise when I came back in December to ENP and saw this lil white pooch teetering but standing on all fours.  ENP had taken her to Chiang Mai where she accessed water therapy for a couple of weeks and the results were amazing.   I returned in March to do rehab with her and a couple of other pups and could see that she was continuing to gain strength and coordination.   We guessed that if she were able to take longer walks and have more ongoing rehab that she would likely grow even stronger so we decided to fly See Kao to the small island community where we live and recruit a new adoptive family for her.   Circumstances changed and we didn’t need to find another family but were able to have See Kao join our family.   Yaah for us!   With daily walking on trails and uneven terrain, See Kao has grown stronger and now has buff quads.  She’s been a model Fitpaws enthusiast, balancing on the peanut, wobble board, etc. and continues to gain more rear end perception, strength and balance.   She loves to do ‘nose work’, we hide a small tin with a clove scent and she searches it out to win a treat reward.  She has the biggest tail/butt wag for us if we have been out and gives many kisses.  We are so lucky to have her as part of our family.
