Trevor
A few days into my month-long stint volunteering as a veterinarian for ENP Dogs, a little puppy was brought in on emergency that had been found half dead on the side of the road. He was dehydrated, malnourished, had Coronavirus and intestinal parasites and was unable to move his arms or legs. We weren’t sure he was going to make it, but with the help of Dr. Tai and Peach and the amazing dog volunteers, we were able to treat this puppy, nurse him back to health and ultimately get him rehabilitated back on his feet. By the month’s end, I had become so bonded with this little guy and fallen so deeply in love, I just couldn’t bear the thought of leaving him. Trevor (who I later learned was named after the father of ENP volunteer Ryan who had found him and rushed him in) made the long trip to the USA to live with me, Jeff and our 10 y.o. dog, Joppa, in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Lake Tahoe, California. From the moment he arrived, he has been a thriving, happy, energetic, lovable, mischievous little puppy. His hair has grown in beautifully, his body has filled out, he has regained 100% of his strength and more, and he’s developed a brightness that words cannot describe. Trevor loves going on walks in the woods, laying on the deck, chewing on his toys, playing with Joppa and getting his mommy loves. And, he is the star of his puppy class ! Trevor has added so much joy our lives. Thank you ENP !! Trevor is the best Thai souvenir ever !
