Tai’s Happy Tale

AND HERE IS TAI’s HAPPY TALE!!! Thank you Margot for the lovely story!

We did change Tai’s name to Ellie…. after the grand and beautiful elephants that led me to fall in love with her. Ellie has done so well transitioning! She was so amazed and shocked by all of the sounds and smells at JFK airport. I didn’t think I’d get her into the car! The boat ride from Long Island across the sound made her a little sick to her stomach, but it was all worth it when she made it home to Massachusetts. She has a brother and sister- big black standard poodles. They are happy playing together and trying to determine who is my favorite. They constantly have contests to see who can nudge in closer for scratches and pats. Ellie has boundless energy and could play all day long. At night she has been sleeping under the bed in our room and hiding every toy she can find under there because the bigger dogs can’t squeeze under to get them! Our 19 year old son just got home from college and there has been a little bit of growling at the strange new 6 foot tall boy in the house. I’m sure with time Ellie will attach to him as she has to the rest of us. Her first trip to the vet was successful and she climbed right onto the scale with no fear of being over weight! We are working on walks and lots of love to help her grow. Thank you ENP for helping Ellie find her home
