Myself and Emily first met Tui (formally known as Looch) when we went to the Elephant Nature park in July 2015. We loved the whole project so much we changed our plans to go back at the end of our trip and volunteer with the dogs for a couple of weeks. During this time we spent any free moment taking little Tui for a walk. We were definitely taking at least 1 dog home and she was that one. Since arriving in Amsterdam and having the long journey back to Wales with us she has gone from strength to strength. Where she was nervous on all walks she now loves them around our local area, especially the rabbits…. She is a running partner for us both and since finding her appetite has become quite a star with clicker training. These Thai dogs know how to think! We arent without afew teething issues such as separation anxiety, travel sickness and not great around new dogs but we have already been able to leave her for 3 hours, go for a 2 hour drive with no sickness and she will lead walk and almost play with other dogs now. It is a gradual process but in a short month i think she is doing pretty well! We love her very much and enjoying seeing her get more confident day to day.
