Kulap
This is the story of my sweet angel Kulap,
Kulap was adopted from ENP by Michelle Eastburn Larsen. Unfortunately things didn’t work out after Michelle did everything in her power to help Kulap with her aggression issues towards her other dog Vicki & with people. So Michelle surrendered Kulap to ISDF a rescue in Chicago where I was the Marketing Director at the time. Kulap came to Chicago from Oregon in July where I picked her up from the Airport. Kulap then went to ISDF headquarters where she went to many adoption events, We had no luck getting Kulap adopted. Then we had an inquiry from a man named Joe. We were all excited about someone finally being interested in Kulap. Joe ended up adopting little Kulap, But Kulap ended up showing aggression towards Joes friends, so unfortunately Kulap was returned to ISDF. With my heart just breaking for this poor little girl who obviously needed a home with not a lot of human traffic and needed to be the only dog in the house. I happened to be moving back to my hometown of Elmwood Park which is a suburb in Chicago. I didn’t have any pets and it was just myself and my grandmother. So I ended up adopting Kulap. So happy to say after several months Kulap has transitioned into the most loving little girl. She has her own twin size bed with a window that she just absolutely loves looking out. She has TONS of her very own toys and she has nothing but love from me & my grandma and many others. So with a ruff start and effort from a lot of people involved in finding Kulap her forever home, Im happy to say she is in her forever home and is happier than ever. Thank you to all of you at ENP for rescuing Kulap and her two other sisters. If it wasn’t for all of you and Michelle my heart wouldn’t be complete. I always say I’m not sure who rescued who. So from the bottom of my heart thank you so much to all of you!!! Here are current pictures of Sweet Angel “Koolie Bear” (My nic name for her)
Forever Grateful,
Sommer Lena
